How
does 13text work?
This
is the 13text process:
- Your
caller enters any one of your easy-to-remember keywords (eg:
myflight, pizza, budgethotel). Depending on how intuitive
your keywords are, callers may even have just guessed your
keyword.
The
caller then sends the keyword to 13text, a nation-wide SMS
number. (The caller will use the same number, no matter
which company he wants to contact, so there is no need
to remember dozens of numbers - just 13text.)
- Once the caller hits "send", their phone will ring and
when they pick up, they will hear a message telling them
they are being connected to your company.
- Your phone rings at your end - and you are both ready to talk!
The
Technology behind 13text
13text
combines regular mobile SMS technology together with the power of
"Call Connect" technology.
Call Connect technology is a relatively new communication
system (see explanation in the column on the right), while SMS (short
message service) is the technology utilised when people send each other
text messages.
13text
simply integrates these two technologies to bring the
convenience of Call Connect from computers to mobile phones.

The Technology Behind 13text
Call Connect is a
tool that combines Internet and telephone applications.
When you install the Call Connect icon on your web page (as we have below), e-mail, or newsletter,
you are inviting your prospects/ customers to talk to your company immediately,
for free!
When they click on the Call Connect Icon, they can enter a phone number and request a call. Moments later they will receive a call from the company they want to communicate with.
However, Call Connect is an Internet Based application only.
13text enables this same technology - but with a mobile phone instead of a computer!
